Wow, Bill. I sense a theme in your recent blogs. I hadn't visited the site in a few weeks, so reading the last several entries one after another was pretty striking. I hope there are some folks out there besides ours getting the message. Keep it up!

I agree, there is no justification for murder - the killing of an abortion doctor or the murder of an unborn child. BTW, I enjoy lurking through your blog ...

Very well said! I think that we need to ditch our bail me out mentality and "man up" or better to say "step up to the plate". That is where true growth lies. Cowering in the corner waiting for a handout instead of seeking the Lord's guidance and wisdom will only lead to more disaster on down the road.

Very good observation! Our American cultural that we seem to think is so "right, perfect, and just" is totally opposite what Christ taught. Half of all His parables are about money/possessions and the great care we must take when we assume those things. However, America is so rich, do we get lost in our wealth of possessions? Our 14 trillion consumer debt addiction might be indication of our spiritual problem with money & possessions. Oh, for the day that Christians rise up and stay away from debt as the Bible tells us.

Daschle wasn't able to weather the mounting criticism over his unpaid taxes after all. Seeing his nomination was in real trouble, he withdrew his nomination as Health and Human Services Secretary. Also, Nancy Killefer withdrew her name to be the first chief performance officer for the federal government because she failed for a year and a half to pay employment taxes on household help.
